We dedicate ourselves to encouraging participation of youth in music. Many do not have access to it because it can be expensive and difficult to pursue a musical education. Music teachers can typically charge between $50 to $150 per hour for lessons and music program fees at school can add up to hundreds of dollars per student annually. Our mission is to spread the joy of music to youth from around our community without cost being a barrier.

About Notelove

Giving Every Child the opportunity to learn Music

Since 2018, Notelove has been giving out free music lessons to the youth across the United States. Music is not only a fun past time but music education also provides an environment for youth to develop necessary skills such as perseverance, a strong work ethic, cooperation, and much, much more. We hope you can join us in our mission by either volunteering, donating, or signing up for lessons!

Our Story

Notelove was started by Omar Shohoud, former Homestead High School student and current freshman at the University of Chicago in September 2018. His intention was to give low-income youth in the Bay Area the music education he was able to receive. Since then, Notelove has expanded and now offers lessons to youth regardless of household income.
